How we review · DisclosureMore Massive Studios (Juice) reviews · What is RTP? · What is volatility? · Best new slotsGrannies vs Aliens is easily the funniest idea in the Massive Studios range, and it's part of the Juice catalogue spreading to new casinos. It's a five reel, four row game with forty paylines. When a VS Wild lands, it expands over the whole reel and a one on one battle begins between the Granny and the Alien. If the Granny wins, that reel turns into wilds, with multiplier wilds of 2, 3, 5, 10, 50 or even 100 times, and several on one payline add together.
If the Alien wins, you're left with a single wild. Three or more scatters trigger Free Games. Each scatter expands its reel and spins on its own for plus one, two or three games, with a minimum of 12. In the bonus, wilds stay sticky, and at the end of a spin the Granny can fly into a Rage that boosts the wilds on the board. Max payout is 10,000 times, 20,000 on the enhanced modes, and the RTP is 96.57 percent.
The bonus buy costs 100 times, with a 500 times option for four scatters. In our demo we played about thirty spins, then bought the 100 times bonus on a two dollar bet. We got seventeen free games, and about 37 dollars back on a 200 dollar buy. One run, and not a promise. The battle is the hook, the theme is silly in the best way, and it's a lot more fun than the premise has any right to be.
